It generally takes around 10 weeks to complete your training and you’ll be expected to commit to a regular session each week. Two of the training sessions will take place in your home at your own computer, the remainder will be based in a training room.
The training costs £80 and consists of three parts:

- Essential understanding of computers and email/internet access
- How to use a keyboard instead of a mouse to navigate around Windows
- How to give instructions and listen to the customer in a Computer Driving Lesson
- Administrative procedures required to be an Instructor
Part 2
- A minimum of 20 hours’ work experience – you’ll train friends and family as an essential part of your learning and development.
Part 3
- A written and observation test
On successful completion of the course, work experience and passing the formal evaluation process, you will become a qualified Computer Driving Instructor and get the “Approved Computer Driving Instructor” license.
